Masuleh Village, Fuman
This village is situated in the southwest of Fuman, 63 km from Rasht. It enjoys a moderate climate. Local architecture, springs, waterfalls, the Rood Khan River, and dense forests all make it an attractive tourist destination. Masuleh’s integrated architecture and its houses are two-storeyed structures comprising entrance corridors, cellars, and other unique architectural features, all connected by staircases.
The terrace of each house serves as the courtyard of the house above it. The presence of the ancient Own Ebne Ali and Own Ebne Mohammad in Masuleh makes it an important pilgrimage and cultural site.
Alborz Mountain Range
Alborz, also known as Elburz, is a mountain range in northern Iran stretching from the borders of Armenia in the northwest to the southern coast of the Caspian Sea, extending eastward to the borders of Turkmenistan and Afghanistan. Mount Damavand, the highest mountain in the Middle East, is located within this range.
The Alborz mountain range forms a barrier between the southern Caspian region and the Qazvin–Tehran plateau. It is only 60–130 km wide and consists of sedimentary formations dating from the Upper Devonian to the Oligocene period, predominantly Jurassic limestone over a granite core. The higher elevations, within the Elburz Range forest-steppe ecoregion, are arid with few trees, while the northern slopes, within the Caspian Hyrcanian mixed forests ecoregion, are lush and heavily forested.
Kouhrang
Kouhrang is among the most beautiful towns in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province. It hosts various springs such as Deimeh, Parak (approximately 75 km from the provincial capital, Shahr-e Kord), Sardab, Morvarid, and Kouhrang Mineral Water Springs (Chelgard), as well as natural attractions such as Choma Cave and the Inverted Tulips Plain.
The town’s verdant landscapes and natural attractions appeal greatly to urban tourists.
Kouhrang Waterfall
The waterfall was formed from the water released through Kouhrang’s first tunnel. The tunnel was built in 1954 to transfer the water of Kouhrang Spring and nearby springs to the Zayandeh Rud River.
Efforts to transfer water from this region date back many years. During the reign of the Safavid Dynasty, attempts to create a fissure in the mountains for water transfer were unsuccessful.
