Meet at the Hotel, and continue for a full-day tour. Start from the hotel early in the morning ...drive to the West of Tehran for one of the most famous Hashashian forts called Alamout, located in Alamout Valley (Ghazvin province). The group will reach there with passing Karaj in around 3 hours, with light trekking, 1-2 hours will be spent at the ancient ruined fort.
Alamut is a region in Iran, including the western and eastern parts, on the western edge of the Alborz (Elburz) massif, between the dry and barren plain of Qazvin. Starting from Qazvin toward Alamut, passing through the first range of hills, curvatures, forms, scars, and wrinkles are significant themes in nature's composition of this area. Two citadels of Ismailists, the Alamut castles, are in this area.
Hassan-i Sabbah and his Hashshashins controlled the area for many years, as featured in the 1938 novel by Vladimir Bartol.
The group will return to Tehran after visiting this area and have lunch on the back way in a restaurant with traditional Iranian food.
